Shantera's educational background includes a Graduate Cerification in Information Resource Management, Green Belt Certification in Six Sigma, and a Bachelors of Business Administration in Information and Operations Management. She has earned a certification as a Professional Consultant and Traniner as well as a Professional Coach by the Professional Woman Network. Shantera is a member of the National Speakers Association, American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) and Houston Area Professional Express Network of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA). She has authored a chapter in the now published book, The Christian Woman's Guid for Personal Success where she focuses on Overcoming Obstacles. She was honored at the annual Houston Area Council Woman of the Year luncheon on Saturday, June 6, 2009 among other area Women of the Year.
