BUSINESS TIPS........

Be Smart! Good female bosses delegate rather than micromanage. They allow people to do their jobs, rather than micromanaging, says RN Laura Goldbaum, an editorial director of NurseWeek. Great supervisors also give people the benefit of doubt, offer criticism in a coaching fashion, are fun and funny, and focus on the people they supersive, she says. Are YOU A GOOD BOSS OR SUPERVISOR?

Don't take employee loyalty for granted! The economy has already taken a toll on your budget and now you might have to gear up for increased recruiting costs, according to a vice president at CareerBuilder.com. He bases his opinion on a new survey done by the company that finds about 25% of workers are more loyal to their own career development than they are to their employers, which means a good chunk of your staff could be looking for work elsewhere.

QUICK TIPS Use Google Alerts to Find Out When and Why You're Mentioned on the Web by Kim McCully

The folks at Google have invented a lot of useful features to their world-famous search engine. One way for tracking where you've been mentioned on the Web is Google Alerts.

With Google Alerts, you'll receive periodic email notifications (once a day, once a week, or in real time) whenever terms you monitor appear on the Web or in the news. This helps you stay on top of what people are saying about you or your company - and what they're saying about your competition or other areas of interest.

Creating a Google Alert is easy: go to google.com/alerts. On the form that appears, fill out the required fields and select some options from a few drop-downs. That's it!! You're ready to go, and your rquested notifications will soon start arriving in your inbox.
